Run2gether Supports Addition to School in Kiambogo
We have the pleasure of telling you about the start of a new school project in Kiambogo.
Yesterday, we brought the director of the Sision Primary School in Kiambogo the good news that we’ll be able to finance a new teachers lounge through the support of our Run2gether Sponsor-a-Child Program. Currently, the teachers and the director of the six-room school have to prepare for their classes and hold all of their meetings outside!
The chairman of the school, the parent council, and the local pastor were all present at the meeting on the construction of the new building. Everyone was overjoyed with the decision!
- Der Direktor freut sich über den Zubau
- Pastor und Direktor unterhalten sich über den Bauplan
- Begrüßung des Elternrates
- Der Plan wird vorgestellt
- Heinzi und Thomas drücken nochmals die Schulbank
Right after the meeting, the director, Peter MUIRORI, told the news to all of his 350 students and the roughly 200 parents on hand who had come to celebrate the end of the first trimester.
- Vorstellung der Lehrerinnen
- Schulbesuch in der Prim. School Sision

- Mitten drin statt nur dabei
The construction of the 30m² building, with one room for the teachers and one small office for the director, should be completed within just one week!
So we hope we’ll be able to report on the completion of the building while we’re still here in Kenya. In any case, the director decided to invite all the children, their parents, and us as well to the opening of the new building on next Friday.
So cross your fingers that it all works out!
We’ll be keeping you posted.
