Paten-Statement: [2020.03.22]: Running has become a huge part of my life and I love to participate in the yearly “Women’s Run” (Frauenlauf) in Vienna. It was there that I first heard about run2gether and immediately recognized that this is a very special project. After a couple of my good friends came back from the camps in Kals full of wonderful stories and pictures of running with Kenyans, I knew I needed to find a way to experience this for myself. Luckily, in February 2020, I was able to spend a very enriching week at the Kiambogo camp and it was there that I saw for myself how sponsoring a child makes total sense. I am over the moon to have Judy as my sponsor child and all my family wish her all the very best. It’s an honour to be able to support her in this way, thanks to everyone in the run2gether team.
Das Laufen ist für mich enorm wichtig geworden und jedes Jahr nehme ich beim Frauenlauf in Wien teil. Dort habe ich das erste Mal über das run2gether Projekt erfahren, und habe sofort erkannt, dass dies etwas ganz Besonderes ist. Nachdem ein paar meiner Lauffreundinnen aus den Camps in Kals voller wunderbarer Geschichten und Fotos über das Laufen mit Kenianern zurückgekehrt sind, war mir klar, dass ich das selber auch erleben wollte. Glücklicherweise durfte ich im Februar 2020 eine Woche in Kiambogo am Camp verbringen und dort habe ich vor Ort gesehen, wie sinnvoll eine Patenschaft ist. Es freut mich riesig, dass Judy unser Patenkind ist und meine ganze Familie wünscht ihr alles Gute. Es ist uns eine Ehre, sie auf diese Weise zu unterstützen, dank des Einsatzes des run2gether Teams.
