Neue Bergschuhe für unseren Tourguide Paul in Kenia

Wie vielfältig die Unterstützung für run2gether ist, dürfen wir euch dieses Mal an folgendem Beispiel berichten:
Rosi und Manfred Bayer aus Mittenwald – Rosi ist selbst begeisterte und sehr erfolgreiche Bergläuferin, die regelmäßig am Podest ihrer Altersklasse steht und ihr Ehemann Manfred ist treuer Betreuer an der Strecke – wurden über die Teilnahme unserer Läufer bei diversen Berglaufbewerben auf run2gether aufmerksam. Begeistert von dem Konzept und der Idee unseres Vereines, besuchten sie erstmals im Jänner 2016 unser Camp in Kiambogo, Kenia. Neben dem Leben im Camp, den wunderschönen Laufstrecken auf der Hochebene am Fuße des Mt. Longonot, waren es vor allem die Touren mit unserem Guide Paul Njogu, die Rosi und Manfred beeindruckten.

Zurück zu Hause war für das Paar eines klar: sie möchten run2gether weiterhin unterstützen. Eine Fördermitgliedschaft wurde abgeschlossen, Kleidung an die Kinder unserer Nursery School geschickt und unserem Guide Paul wollten sie unbedingt richtige Bergschuhe zukommen lassen!
So baten sie Isolde Höfinger-Pattis bei ihrem Besuch im April 2016, doch Maß von Pauls Füßen zu nehmen, um für ihn Qualitätsschuhe für seine Wander- und Bergtouren, vor allem für die Besteigungen des Mt. Kenia (5.199m) und Mt. Kilimanjaro (5.895m) auszusuchen.
